I am fully convinced that while there are some inescapable basics, the idea that there is a single marketing guru that knows it all is dead. Today’s marketing practitioner is not only battling clutter at the marketplace which as old as Father Time, but has to contend with the proliferation of channels in the new media.
As a result, while there are some core disciplines that we need to master at the early stages of our career, one has to be always learning to survive, if not succeed at the marketplace. Re-invent, therefore is the operative word for marketers.
